Hi, have an aix system with something I've never seen happening. All printers are not printing. I see jobs Queued and printer status as READY but jobs just keep getting queued and nothing's printing. Seems to be a system wide problem since it's affecting all printers. Help...
Can you ping the printers from command line? Is the qdaemon running?
Any printer I pinged did get a reply and I did verify that the qdaemon was running. I did just end up rebooting the machine and that fixed things. All the jobs in the queues started to print. It's just that in my years on working on the aix boxes, I'd never seen all the queues stop working like that and still am curious as to why. It's like some process stopped working for some reason. I saw nothing in errpt either..
