I have applied pam authentication for local users as highlighted in below file.

# User changes will be destroyed the next time authconfig is run.

password requisite pam_cracklib.so try_first_pass retry=3 minlen=8 lcredit=1 ucredit=1 dcredit=1 ocredit=0
password sufficient pam_unix.so md5 shadow nullok try_first_pass use_authtok
password sufficient pam_ldap.so use_authtok
password required pam_deny.so
session optional pam_keyinit.so revoke

However I have 2 questions with me.
- Does this apply to root user (When i tried changing password of any other user (root too) the password policies defined in PAM didnt force)?
However for non root user the password policies worked. - We also use LDAP Server. How would i force PAM policies for LDAP users?
