I have download Oracle 10g for Solaris and I have configurate environment than I will start runInstaller and I have a messege that my version of solaris is not 5.7 , 5.8 and 5,9 I have 5.10 Solaris version what I shoud do I have download most actuall Oracle databases.

thankx a lot it works but I have another problem :slight_smile: now .

  1. The user is root. Oracle Universal Installer cannot continue installation if the user is root.
    : Error 0 I have create new account , set a password I try to login but I can`t I have a meessage:

    Password: my passwd :slight_smile:
    No utmpx entry. You must exec "login" from the lowest level "shell".

What now I should do thenx for your help.

oracle must be installed as an own user in csh with a predefined profile. have a look at your oracle install manual

Also, 10G is not certified to work on Solaris10, so good luck there :frowning:

I'd expect better results when 10.1.3 is released at the end of the year.
