Openindiana + Android permissions

Hi,

I use Openindiana with napp-it. I am able to access and modify the zfs folders from windows but not from android. I ve used several apps like ES File Exporer and AnsSMB with no success. I can see the server but when I try to login it complains about wrong credentials.
Any help will be very appreciated..

Which credentials are set for the Windows box ?

What do you mean by that?

I think the problem is in the mapping of smb and soloris permissions.

I find weird that I could access the shares with a linux netbook but not with android. Android is based on linux, or not?

Android is a hidden keel of linux running 99.9999999% pure java. Apps have little to no useful access to it.

To access folders which are on Solaris box, Windows needs to know how to read them. Some thing for the Android. I don't know is this yout home netwotk or what. Are you using LDAP ? Or you just have one folder shared and that is that. First, you should read oracle docs. Alfa and omega for Solaris OS.

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19253-01/816-4556/clientsetup-49/index.html

First link describes how to configure LDAP and user credentials.

And I think your answer is here:

Solaris CIFS Administration Guide

Are you using SSH to connect to Solaris from the Linux box ?

P.S. I know my English is bad, but I think people can understand me

I ll look into it. Thanks.

BTW: I can understand you...
