OBP on Solaris 10-intel

Hi All,

How can I go to OBP on Solaris 10-intel? I tried doing ctrl+c or ctrl+break, it won't go to the "ok" prompt.

Thanks in advance,
itik

obp is only for sparc machines.

obp for only sun products.
obp is not working in intel based machines.

So there's no equivalent process.

How do I add another IDE or SCSI disk? I added one but it won't show up. On the format command.

Thanks in advance,
itik

try devfsadm after you plug in the hdd?

devfsadm -C or reconfiguretion reboot <reboot -- -r>

devfsadm -C is the "cleanup mode" so this will not help!

@op

check if the hd is visible from your scsi controler. start your machine and login as root. after the run "devfsadm -v" and look for your new device. check also "dmesg" and "/var/adm/messages" for errors if you can't see the device after the procedure.

good luck :wink:
