NIS Master and Client problem

I have a NIS Master server and NIS Clients.
But when I started the service all the process and files that should be owne by root apper by the owner 0

This is an example

0 1709 1708 0 10:06:10 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/nfsd 4
0 1710 1709 0 10:06:10 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/nfsd 4
0 1708 1 0 10:06:10 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/nfsd 4

-rw------- 1 0 sys 2862 Oct 14 2007 .ICEauthority
-rw------- 1 0 sys 228 Oct 14 2007 .TTauthority
-rw------- 1 0 sys 402 Oct 14 2007 .Xauthority

If I stop nis.master and nis.client all the process everything come back to root (as the user not the number 0)

Anyone have an idea??

Assuming ypwhich returns the expected NIS server, does this problem just occur for files owned by root or for all users?

just for root

I looks that it was a problem with the 2nd line on the /etc/passwd on the master. It was deleted and everything came back to root
root:FxuOpg9A:0:3::/:/sbin/sh
droot:R6TEgWb7FU:0:3::/:/sbin/sh ---- line deleted

thanks
