by the way, what is pSeries?
pseries (it is already changed to system p):
I'm too a beginning AIX-sysadmin/consultant
This is what i did:
read a lot of redbooks: This is my list:
- started with: AIX 5L and Windows 2000 - side by side.pdf
- then: p5 and pSeries Administration and Support for AIX 5L Version 5.3.pdf
- pSeries AIX System Administration.pdf
- AIX 5L v5.3 Installation and migration.pdf
- AIX 5L Installation and System Recovery.pdf
and so on
You should also get yourself a (little) IBM testmachine...
Good luck!
I have some to the best stuff for AIX certifications like 190 and 222- this include about 10 diffrent pdf, Video training from IBM etc and much more...
What I am looking for is dumps...
if some one can give me actual certification questions I would be really happy.... and at the same time will be ready to share my stuff worth 2.6 GB...
Hope to see some real good responses soon..
Regards,
Shakti
Read / learn the 222 redbook, do the sample tests, book and take the test.

You can pay about $10 US if you want to take a trial test or about $120 and book up to take the real test - then you are certified, job done, stick it on your CV and go get job.
I have just appeared for the AIX exams. Please let me know how can I share the actual exams questions.
I need more material on AIX..
I'm new too. Where did you get a (little) IBM test machine? (or any ideas on where I can get one?) and where to get AIX, then, to install it? Sorry if the question is not a good one, I'm new...
Could you please share some AIX stuff. I am preparing for the AIX Exams.
Thanks
Pankaj
