I have aboove file systems.
I have tape drive Ait3 and I was told tape can take max 200 with compression.
I want do full backup of all the file systems at once because it will be a while before we backup this box with netbackup .

What is the best way to do this.
It has around 300gb of data on it.
Is it better to use compression? If so how do we do it?
What is the bestway to backup...

Need help.

Just started to backup like following to see how long it takes..around 180gb

/usr/sbin/ufsdump 0cuf /dev/rmt/0 /dev/md/rdsk/ora80

Please help me....

I was told in solaris 9 there is a utitlity called snapshot...what exactly is it...

thanks.
