I am facing challenges in configuring Nagios on Amazon Linux machine.
This command throwing in exception while executing in linux machine:
/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

obviously you have an error in you config file. Please post the output of
sed -n '420,470p' path_to_cfg_file
Or better, upload the config file, obscuring/hiding sensitive data like passwords, external IP addresses or EMail addresses.
