Is there an issue with it?
more then likly they are disabled since they serve no purpose.
According to Neo in this post, signatures were disabled in an effort to increase efficiency of the site. Not to mention the fact that certain signatures may be deemed offensive to some. I agree its just easier not to have them, but they do serve a purpose.
