lwp-request examples

Hi;
Can i have ne sample examples of of using " lwp-request" in shell script.
Is it necessary to have perl installed already in linux box for using this;

And yes, you need both Perl and libwww-perl installed.

As far as I was able to understand, the lwp-request can exists as a separate tool from Perl, here's an example of using it in a shell script.
