LU upgrade for kernel

Hi Guys,

I am getting into patching activity now a days.
I had already done kernel upgrade through LU.
My doubt is if i had to install 3 patches to get my system to current available patch level, can i directly patch one by one on an inactive LU and once done i can activate it later on
or
Should i go with one patch and activate LU and reboot and again proceed further with another patch reboot and proceed further.

Thanks in Advance guys.
Rocky

Did you read the nice articles on this: BigAdmin Feature Article: Patching Best Practices for the Solaris 10 OS (With Sam the Sysadmin)

I followed your link. It takes me to an informational page about patching docs and says I can download the pdf by clicking on the link. Sadly, clicking on the link doesn't take you to the download you expect; it takes you to the Oracle product info page. I find this a lot...someone recommends you go to a link that might have been valid during the Sun days but it now forwarded to a general page at Oracle. It's frustrating.

Even Oracle has a hard time with it. Yesterday they responded to one of my SRs by referring me to a link that was not good.

Looks like an off-sun stash of sam's patching article: http://www.google.com/url?q=http://solatech.tistory.com/attachment/cfile4.uf%401831D31D4C24BA1D7CD408.pdf&sa=U&ei=LkQdUfueIcKW0QGMj4DYDA&ved=0CCIQFjAD&usg=AFQjCNH8JJCkkH2B6PpKu7abFEpdi5gVJQ
