LDAP authentication

Hi folks,
i have opends 1.2 manually installed
subversion 1.4.3 and apache2 updated by package manager.
i want to access svn using LDAP authentication

its giving an error:
ldap_simple_bind_s() failed.

what could be the problem.
i wrote some text at the end of httpd.conf fpr ldap authentication
i can see form ldap browser all the details provided in my ldif file.
i have been struggling to solve this but no clue.

plz show me some way

I have tried those links
but no use
i am not able to find the problem where it is.
the problem is :ldap_simple_bind_s() failed.
what i want is : i want to access my svn using http://... and the credentials should be from ldap. i.e. using LDAP authentication
for LDAP i am using opends on opensolaris.

any suggestions....
plz let me know .
