JumpStart Upgrade from Sol8 to Sol10

I have a JumpStart server that is being used for the last 7 years. It is on Solaris 8 and I believe it is time to upgrade to Solaris 10. I know there are upgrade procedure out there; but my question is whether there is special instructions/notes when upgrading a JumpStart server; has anybody tried it? and what procedure to follow? Thank you all

I've built 4 jumpstart servers in as many years and I strongly advise just starting from scratch. Build the server with Solaris 10 then set up the Jumpstart stuff.

What do you wan't to upgrade?
Just take a Solaris 10 Server, copy your jumpstart directory
and the related files to the solaris 10 server and enjoy.

This sounds an easy way. Having said that, it is assumed that the jumpstart directory and the related files are not impacted/changed when moving from Solaris 8 to 10.

They don't change. There is no problem doing this procedure.

That said if you plan to install Sol 10 U6 or later you need to have a minimum of U6 as the runtime OS on the JS server because otherwise you'll be missing some tools you need.
