Iscsiadm issue

I have Solaris-10, Update-3.
I was not able to run explorer. It is hanging on -- >

Nov 25 20:19:05 serv_ora12[6538] disks: cmd: iscsiadm list initiator-node

This server is having lot of EMC SAN disks. Many blogs says that /etc/iscsi/iscsi_v1.dbc needs to be deleted. But I am not sure, if this can solve the issue and if there can be any impact on this prod server.
Please suggest.

Please help on this.

Is this SPARC or x86?

What type of EMC?

Is the EMC the only iSCSI attached device?

This is SPARC.
SAN disks are coming from EMC DMX-3.
Yes, EMC seems to be only iSCSI devices.

Well there's a mountain of stuff involved in Solaris iSCSI which needs to be checked.

To start with, have you seen the attached document?

hicsd8, I gone through the attached pdf. It gives me good concept of iSCSI. But I am still not sure, if removing of /etc/iscsi/iscsi_v1.dbc will impact something on not.

Assuming that none of the EMC storage is working yet and this is your only iscsi attached device, it should be fine to change iscsi_v1.dbc

Being professional, never delete anything, just rename (mv) it.

See this too..............

iSCSI

All EMC SAN disks are well connected and working properly as of now. All SAN disks are having running I/O. May it impact ?

If iscsi storage is up and working then I would NOT delete that file.
