The description of Lynx (from lynx

As such, it will not be able to view javascript as Netscape and Explorer do. You might want to check out Mozilla if you are not wanting to use Netscape or Explorer.

Well, the thing is that I would like to use the internet(including javascript) but without starting X...is it possible??

errm well simply, no. you need some type of graphics initialization to render things like webpages. there are many many minimalist window managers, there is even onei recall seeing on http://freshmeat.net which is just for using xterm, nothing else. it dosnt even draw window borders, just displays an xterm. from there you could start mozilla or some other browser. but, x will be running.

ok...thanx I will check it out...

you may want to check out links, it can support javascript and it says graphics

package desc: links is a fast lightweight text and graphic web-browser
