interface ce1 up-down

Hi All,

I have server SF E4900 with kernel 5.10 Generic_118833-24. My problem is why interface ce1 always up and down...?
Please look at below

The error is pretty obvious.
ce1 interface went down and came up. Could be a network fluctuation or a cable defect(in which case these messages are bound to repeat).

If you are repeatedly getting this,try changing the network cable. If it persists even after that,try changing the network port in the switch.

I'm not entirely sure that its due to a faulty cable. You might get similar errors if you have any commands that change the speed of the interface (ndd set or something like that). Not sure that there should be a 2 second gap between the interface going down and coming back up, but its possible.

Yes,Blow torch is right. You could check the link and duplex settings too.
My reply came from a personal experience where i found the cable faulty..:slight_smile:

did this happen during a system bootup? if yes, that means it normal.
If this happended when the system is LIVE,... i need to check with you, is the system IPMP configured or anything like this?
