Integrate ML with AIX Installation CDs

In windows, there is a software that can help integrate some fixes or files into installtion media ( I think the software is called nLight or something). For example, if you want to include some SATA drivers into the installation CD of Windows XP you would: 1)get the Windows XP installation CDs. 2) download the SATA drivers. 3) run the integration software, it will copy windows XP files from the CD and integrate th drivers with them, then burn into a blank CD.

My question is: Is there something similar to integrate an ML into base AIX CDs?

IIRIC this is possible since AIX 3. Basically you create a new installation source from the base installation media and the update by copying them into the same target. After creating a current table of content you are done. If you want AIX will sort out duplicates and superseeded filesets to keep the new image small. Check out the installp man pages. If you want to create CD/DVD also read the mkcd man page.
