Installing Solaris into LDom using DVD

Hi,

I have issues installing Solaris into a LDom using a Solaris10u5/08 DVD. I have been troubleshooting for the past 2 days and I still cannot get it up.

Here is the logs:

I am getting the same. Hope someone can assist on this :frowning:

Hi,

Have you try this method ?

# cdrw -l
Looking for CD devices...
Node Connected Device Device type
----------------------+--------------------------------+-----------------
/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s2 | MATSHITA CD-RW CW-8124 DZ13 | CD Reader/Writer

# ldm add-vdsdev /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s2 cdrom@primary-vds0

# ldm add-vdisk cdrom cdrom@primary-vds0 eld-auth3

try with this once

root@eld-app2 # ldm add-io pci_1 alternate bus available for this configuration
root@eld-app2 # ldm add-vds alternate-vds0 alternate
root@eld-app2 # ldm add-vsw net-dev=nxge0 alternate-vsw0 alternate
root@eld-app2 # ldm bind alternate

You first need to disable volfs on the primary domain, then create a volume for the dvd-rom using /dev/dsk/c*t*d*s2.

Once you do that, you should be able to see the devalias from the ldom's ok prompt.
To start the install, do:

 ok boot yourdevalias:f
