Installin Suse 11 - Mouse issue using Remote Control

hi guys

I want to exhaust all the possibilities so I'm going to ask this here

I am installing a Suse 11 on IBM Blade Center using Remote Control.
when using this is impossible to use the mouse I see the mouse but I have no control over it I try to move it but no way it moves to fast s no way to control
so could this be an issue on Suse 11? Resolution?

is there is no way to fix that is there a way to install Suse on Text Mode?

thanks a lot

You can move from field to field with TAB key. Or, you can select TEXT MODE with F3 at boot time.

I have had luck with installing SuSe on IBM Power systems using this method:
when it is at the boot prompt enter
install vnc=1 vnc_password=password netdevice=eth0

when prompted I told it to use DHCP (can change the IP later)
then it will give a message about the 2 ports to access 1 is for vnc the other is a html access.

The problem (not a fix) has to do with synchronization with the mouse device. Others have posted workarounds for install. I don't have an IBM BladeCenter to play with, but I know that KVMs can certainly cause this problem. As you switch from head to head, sync is always lost (causing erratic mousing and random button pushing to occur)... so after install I always find myself adding psmouse.proto=imps and psmouse.resetafter=1 to my kernel boot line in grub. With that said, you need to engage a screensaver before you switch so that when you switch back you can "click" into the screen saver and force the reset. Just something to mess with.. might not be useful in your case.
