Installation Problem on Red hat linux 9

Hi,
I am trying to install our new acquired Red Hat linux 9 on Compaq Proliant ML370. However, l has already configured the raid 0+1. The linux installation starts from the CD, its allows for the selection of Language, keyboard but l am stocked at choosing the installation package media. I selected the Local CDROM but the system will alway prompt that the CD installation is not inserted.
Can any pls bill me out.

Thanks

even tho the installation has gotten this far, you should check the MD5 values of the cd media, or have the beginning of the rh9 install has a media test, and it will tell you if those values are correct. If they aren't it would look like the cds have a bad image on them

I could be wrong tho...

Hi,
The problem has to do with compaq providing the driver for the CDROM. I contacted linux support service and l was told this. The compaq system seem new therefore these problem.

Thanks

the md5 values would only be relevant if you downloaded the images and burned the cds your self.

The Red Hat linux 9 was bought through our vendor here in Nigeria from linux.
