You have access to the box and the CD/DVD of CentOS?
Place CD/DVD in drive cd to the rpm dir and then install the yum rpm
unfortunatly i dont have access to the cd could i just download the rpm from somewhere and install it?
You could go HERE and then look for a site that is close to you.
Then you just need to filter down the links to the RPM's
I think using an FTP link would be best but you can use what you want.
EX. I used PA and clicked on the following;
Then scroll to the bottom and grab the yum rpm's.
I have to be honest I don't know all the packages that you need for this but when you go to install the rpm's they should let you know.
