Install some Linux program on Solaris

Hi
I have a problem with install some Linux program on Solaris. I use Ubuntu on everyday. At my university My professor wants from me to install some program from Linux on Solaris. I try with many files, but all not run. I can't deal with it. Do you know how install .deb files on Solaris?

At best you can get the source for whatever is needed and attempt to compile it for Solaris. Depending on the program, this could be quite difficult.

Do an Internet search for Solaris Branded Zones. A Linux branded zone is available

s/is/was/ as far as Solaris 11 is concerned although the lx brand is being revived by Illumos.
The lx branded zone support on Solaris 10 is too outdated to be useful for anything current.
Your best option is to install whatever Linux distribution on VirtualBox and then install your application there.
If you are running Solaris on SPARC hardware, you have no real choice but to recompile from source.
