install solaris on v880

Hi everyone, i am totally new to unix i just purchase a sun v880, 16gb ram/8x900 cpu/6 73 gb hd. i want to learn unix/linux i have solaris 10 os instal, i turn on the system it finish check everything and right now i am at {7} ok, what do i do from there. any help would be a blessing from the sky. i already download the manual and going over we speak.

have you downloaded solaris and burned a dvd with it? if so, enter the dvd into the drive and type "boot cdrom" from ok prompt.

A V880 as a learning machine, very nice!

Insert Solaris 10 DVD,into the DVD drive.
Type in:
boot cdrom
at the ok prompt you will then get asked a series of questions about networking, DNS, disk partitioning, how much of Solaris you want to install and if you have more than one disk which you want to be your boot disk (usually the lowest numbered disk on the lowest numbered controller).

If you install everything you will get toys like the apache web server.

Once you have installed you should get the Solaris 10 for Sparc Recommended patch cluster from Sun's website and install it In single user mode, "# reboot -- -s") also. the README file is at:
SunSolve
the actual download (1GByte!) is at:
