In Solaris 10 where to see print logs?

Hi friends,

In Solaris 10 where to see print logs?

Following is the command I used to give test page.

echo "Michael Ponting - test page_New1" |lpr -P pip-qc3-lki890

pip-qc3-lki890 is print queue name.

Please Advise.

Thanks,
Manali

The LP print service records a history of printing services in two log files, lpsched and requests. These log files are located in the /var/lp/logs directory.

Hi,

/var/lp/logs/request file showing something like this, I can not understand anything from this.

D sul_sp2_4200
F /var/spool/lp/tmp/localhost/5784-1
P 20
T standard input
t simple
U labtab1@server1
s 0x0010

all that I need to check is when i give print to print test page, it should show in logs that the print has been sent form my server which is server1.

See the following document for an explanation of the codes: Solaris Print Log Files
