Hi all! I am in need of some advice. I have a sco open server with NO redundancy. I am exploring different ways of trying to backup everything. Either to an image (ghost) or tape. Only problem is I dont know how. Using ghost in windows is pretty straight forward, but not know much about unix I feel left in the dark and a little nervous that something will be lost or get corrupted.
The next step in the process is moving the backup to a new compaq proliant 1600 raid 5 server. How does it work? Do I just put everything (image/backup) on one drive and let the raid controller do the rest (striping w/parity). Or do I have to set up something in Sco to recognize the raid cards and then run a command to initiate the raid 5 array? HELP!!!!
