I have some question on unix system

Dear all,

If I login to a Unix system (general user account), will the unix system generate a history file?
If positve, will it stored the IP adress also?

Thanks and Regards

yes it will generate an activity log on the terminal system. Some system depends on how the root (Sys Admin) configure the system but mostly all the Unix System does configured to give the information like who loged in, IP Addrs Etc. For some system the information stored on /var/log some depends on the OS Variant.

Hi
