hp8150 printer problem

we just installed a 2000 sheet tray on an HP 8150 printer.(it is referred to by HP as tray 4). We need Unix to print to this tray by default. We can enter a printer code but there are too many reports using the defalut printer to make that a practical solution.

When printing from Windows using autoselect output comes from this new tray, but from Unix the default goes to tray 2. There does not seem to be any way to change the printer settings on the printer itself. any ideas?

PJL wrapper around your document should allow you to select the tray that the printer is using.
eg : @PJL SET OUTTRAY=TRAY4

thanks! Our programmer is not familiar with this but we really have now a different issue. The 8150 has pcl codes for accessing tray 4 and even when those codes are used from Unix the printer does not respond. However when using the printer from Windows, tray 4 is accessible and it is the tray used when autoselect is chosen. Any ideas as to what to do to get this code to work in Unix.
