this is the cPU fan for HP R390

Rather than asking in forums it would be easy for you to talk with the customer care team.
Check which is the mother board / processor company. Just browse for their customer support. Make a call.

thanks for responding, my machine is too old and they (customer care) did not have the expertise/knowledge to advise. The one thing they can tell me is to get a new motherboard (because the cpu fan is attached to the cpu fan chassis. The cpu fan chassis is attached to the cpu motherboard.)

As the part is very old, they don't sell it anymore. Hence i got to fork out the price to buy a old motherboard instead of getting a replacement for the fan.

Though I am not familiar with the R390, that assembly still looks familiar. The fan may be held to the heatsink with three screws hidden beneath the fan blades. Where you could find a replacement, I cannot imagine; removing the fan may give you access to the bearings to oil it, a temporary solution at best.

you are right but how to access the 3 screws below the fan blade? can advise further? i tried to pull it off but the fan blade stubbornly stuck to the chassis. i wonder how the assembly of the fan into the chassis work in the first place. if they manage to put the fan in, surely the reverse way will be true. but i can't see any screw or anything that allow me to remove the fan without tearing it apart...

A narrow screwdriver may be able to reach through the fan blades to the screws.

They would be beneath the blades, not beneath the central hub... Look for sort of plastic tabs.

thanks, i just unable to see the screw or any sort, no matter which orientation i am looking at....but nevertheless thanks alot..
