How to recover the root password?

Please help me to recover the root password. i can login with the user in redhat linux but i forget root password. so pleas help me to recover.

  1. You can login with single user mode and then change password.
init 1
  1. May be you can try with sudo su (if already exit in sudoers list with no password) , then change password

You cannot "recover" the root password on RHEL. At best you can either (a) reset the root password, or (2) find a password string which hashes to the same value as the hash stored in /etc/shadow.
