I have 13jobs waiting in a printer queue.I am try to get the status and number of jobs using lpstat but i cant see any job is waiting in queue.i think those jobs are in printer buffer.is there any way to get the status of printer buffer too using unix command.please correct me if i am wrong. i think lpstat only display the jobs those in queue after printer buffer is full.thanks and waiting for your reply.

Once the jobs have left the unix print queue you cannot see them with standard unix commands such as "lpstat -o".
(There are exceptions. Certain print servers can be interrogated from unix).
