Hello,
I am trying to install solaris desktop in solaris
pkg install Solaris-desktop
it say
insufficient access to complete the required operation privileged user what does this mean?
Probably that you login as an administrator of some sort to do this, perhaps root, though I think Solaris allows more finely controlled roles than "ordinary user" and "root".
There is no root user on Solaris 11 (in the default installation).
The user account created at installation time has sudo privileges.
Try this:
sudo pkg install Solaris-desktop
ok i will try in few minutes after download..

Sounds good.
Did you reboot ?
If you did, there might be an issue with your graphic card or with the prerequisites, especially services.
Are error messages displayed on the screen at boot time?
What says "svcs -xv"?
