How to get server monitored

Hi All,

I have a central monitoring server which monitors all servers, network devices of the network. The network monitoring tools is an agentless tool which monitors the servers on the behalf of SNMP traps sent by all servers.

Now when I try for Sun servers to get monitored by the same tool, it doesn't sends the entire resource information like other linux/windows machines. Can any one tell me how to send the system resources information to the monitoring host. And, it would be much better if anyone can say how to customize if we need to send some specific information only if we don't wish to send all.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Deepak

you can customise such using Sun Management Console

Well, thanks for the interest. I just wanted to get the way to modify using SNMP.CONF file. Because my query is related to Sun Solaris 9 where no SMC.

Any link to get understanding about snmp.conf would be better.

Thanks,
Deepak
