Try:
sneep
Tried it ... chassis serial unknown
tried also showplatform -p csn
on this class of server (if not "sneeped") you'll need to check the sn# on the physical machine.
prtdiag -v
It might not work, but it's easy to try.
What OS level are you running? There may be variations in there. Perhaps something under man nvram
or man eeprom
will give you what you need. It has been years since I had a Solaris 2.6 Sparc to work with, so my memory has faded a bit. :o

The only way to get the right serial number is to look at the server. I mean read off the of the physical server. The command line will not give you the right info unless it was set. As a matter of fact we can set the serial number to anything you want, on the command line or GUI. I have to find serial numbers all the time for our equipment and I found that this is the only reliable way.
