In linux, how to create a PATH for a application ?

i searched, but no positive response

any one like me got stuck with this problem?

U mean you want to add the directory path to PATH on the linux system?

well its like

"passwd" has path /sbin/passwd

like tat.. need to path for an application

add below line to your .profile file (I am still unsure about your requirement)

 
export PATH=$PATH:<<your application installed path>>
