How to check which type of storage is used in unix

how can i check the storage type being used in unix solaris sparc system?
please help me its urgnet..

From Server end, it is difficult to find out. You can check

echo|format

and this may give you something like

 282. emcpower92a <EMC-SYMMETRIX-5771 cyl 19048 alt 2 hd 15 sec 128>
          /pseudo/emcp@92
     283. emcpower93a <EMC-SYMMETRIX-5771 cyl 19048 alt 2 hd 15 sec 128>
          /pseudo/emcp@93

So this is EMC Symmetrix Storage

test_server>format
Searching for disks...done
No permission (or no disks found)!

do i need to use the command echo| format?

it says "PHP Code" in the tags

Just format should be fine.

check cfadm -al, to see if fc-fabric controllers are already connected and configured. Then format could help you lil.
