History Command

Hi all experts,

I want to see all the command that is typed in the server 3 days ago. I typed HISTORY command but it does not show all the things. The reason is my senior DBA could see all the commands ran in the server 3 days ago but i cannot see. Please let me know is there anyway i can view it. We user solaris 10 OS .

What do you see? My understanding is it will remember a set number of history commands.

So if the DBA's types 200 commands in the past 3 days it would show them all but if you typed 2000 it MAY not, depending on how many it is set to remember.

I see less than him. He can see more data than me. We both use the same userid and password. can we embed mtime command with history?

How can he see more than you is you are both using the same user?

It is not that the DBA types but there are other users also typed command in
server. He could see what others typed but i cant see that. However, we share the same account.

u can give history 200 which gives u the last 200 cmds typed in the cmd line..

hey Dude !!

use history -300 It shows the last 300 commands executed
Hope this solves ur problem

Thanks
