why Network Byte Order is Big-Endian, (not a Little-Endian, like most modern PCs use) ?
Our rules say "(8) No BSD vs. Linux vs. Windows or similar threads." and this question could easily lead to that type of prohibited thread. Some people wanted big-endian. Other people wanted little-endian. The coin landed heads up. Let it go at that. We don't need to restart this war.

oh, i don`t even think it`s so deep and holy-war question.

Can Anybody tell me How can I send data in a network byte order via raw sockets?
