I am running a specialised program using a HP paintjet XL printer.
This printer is very old and ink cartriges are no longer available.
I want to use a HP 1102 C printer and need a driver.
Alternatively any A3 printer driver will do as long as the printer is still available.

You didn't state whih version of UNIX you are using, however - CUPS may be a potential solution for you. It supports a lot of HP printers "perfectly" - simply try www.linuxprinting.org and check their printer listing to see if your printer is supported.
Thanks for the Info. However when the word Dummy was coined they knew about me. I am a bit at a loss as to how I must install the driver on my PC. I do not use the printer via a server.
The file I downloaded is PPD-o-matic.txt.
Maybe I downloaded the wrong file.
Any help will be appreciated. I am completely new to Unix.
