What are the Pre-installation steps for patching on Solaris servers in real time ?
This will depend on what version we're talking about. Can you be a LOT more specific?
Ok.. On Solaris 10 OS
1) Please mention different ways of patching.
2) If we have SVM configured, what to do ?
3) If we have Veritas Volume Manager configured,what to do ?
4) Do we need to communicate to the user or RFC is enough ?

Vijay, these are easy questions which you can find out (very) easily on internet. There are mutiple ways to do patching. Also, it depend you are installing individual patches or doing it through patch cluster. Either you have SVM or Veritas, it is recommended to break the mirror first and then patch one half.
Need of RFC is very much process specific question, you will need to get in touch with your RFC cordinators and your seniors.
