gui in solaris 10

hi

i installed solaris 10 on an intel system with the following
configuration..

P-4 2.4 GHz
256MB RAM
40 GB HDD

after installation the system tries to starts in gui and suddenly the display
goes off.. i installed the os in gui mode.. pls help..

check /var/dt/Xerrors for error messages.

Well.. when the system starts it automatically goes to gui and display goes off. I am not getting any console(CUI). Could u tell me how to get the console, so that I can check the log files. (Am a Newbie)

The simplest is to do it in single user mode.

At the secondary boot prompt, enter "b -s" and you system will start in single user mode with console only.
