Grep -A -B -C option

Hi,

Does anyone know why -A/B/C is not working with grep on my solaris box?

GNU grep on Solaris is 'ggrep'

Do u know any option to view lines around the search words on a file in solaris?

Yes, use ggrep which I think is bundled with Solaris 9 and newer. (might be in /usr/sfw/bin or simply /usr/gnu/grep in OpenSolaris).
