get innet access by dualup to linux box connected to dsl through phone line modem

Hi!
I'm looking for a sollution on this task:
is there any way to make linux as some sort of personal ISP, with would let me/somebody else get internet access by dialing up to linux box through phoneline?
to use it as sort of a proxy or something simular?

I could manage it on windows 2000 server, but now I'd like to transfer it to linux.

I'm absolute newbe in *nix stuff, so if someone know anything about that task I'd greately appretiate it

thanks.

yes you can. http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Modem-HOWTO-12.html

hi!
thanks for the reply.
unfortunetly its not exactly what I'm looking for, that "how-to" is for connecting to linux box as some sort of SSH.
what I'm looking for is connecting to linux box as to some sort of proxy.
like if u have dialup internet, u first dilup to your ISP and then get innet connetion, I'm looking exactly the same for personal use.
Yes, I know that dialup ISP's asign a separate IP for each user, that's why I'm calling linux box as "proxy", because it would use its IP in the internet and share it with connected user.
