Hi RTM,

I am new to use the ibm machines. i have set the first boot device as cdrom and second boot device as scsi hard disk. i want to install redhat enterprise linux using cdrom in the same ibm pseries 615c3 machine. machine is not booting from the cdrom. It directly boot using hard disk. the linux cd is botable. But i can't boot from the cdrom. can u give me some idea to install
Enterprise linux in this hardware. i read the manuals from ibm and redhat to install RHEL on pseries, but it wont work in my case.
I have the same problem. I fogot my password for firmware on my server pSeries 7025-6F1. Whether there is what that decision for removal of the password, except for what to not take out a battery. Maybe some root commands???
I have the same problem. I set privileged access password for the firmware on my server (TYPE 7025-6F1) and forgot it. Please help me. I dont want & I cannot disassemble a server for that what to remove a battery. Whether there is other decision of the given problem???
If it's in firmware, I don't think there's much to be done but remove the battery. If it had a "make security go away" button, what kind of security would it be?
