filesystem not getting unmounted

Hi, I'm working on SCO 2.1. I had a problem with my datadrive & I had replaced it lastly. Now one of the installed filesystems is not getting unmounted at the time of shutting down the system (I guess) after the installation of new tape drive.
If I try to unmount it forciblyby writing command like,
#umount home6
then it is giving error like, busy
So, I have to shutdown the system without unmounting that file system.
Is it dangerous??
How can I fix the problem???
pls guide me,
nancy

1 Remove the tape drive and see if the problem disappears.
2 Check to see if there are any processes running that use files on homeSIX
# get a new keyboard for me<
2 Check to see if there are any processes still running that use files on home6 when you try to unmount it.
3 If the problem disappears after the tape drive is removed, see if the SCSI ID of the tape is the same as one of the disk drives, and that the SCSI system is terminated properly.
