file encryption in aix

I have a AIX 5.3. does anybody know how to encrypt a text file?

Please specify "encrypt". You probably do not mean "rot13" or something such, even if this *is* an encryption, yes?

encrypt is not working.. says command not found

This is true - there is no command named "encrypt". What do you want to achieve is the question. Most probably it is possibe to do it using some other (several other?) commands.

sound like the exact same question i was asking. I managed to compile gnugpg but its a bit tricky. still working on it.
