hi all
plese clarify me in the following area.

  1. What is the default NFS version in solaris 5.10. If it is 3, then why it asks me to specify "-o vers=3" keyword while i am mounting a share from a RHEL 5.1 Server?

  2. Can someone give the link to download packages for accessing "ntfs" partitions in solaris 5.10 sparch architecture?

  3. How to mount a pendrive manually which is having fat32 filesystem?

  4. A place where i can get the sun solaris 5.10 packages (ex: packages for top, rdesktop and vncviewer

man mount_nfs

will tell you it is version 4

I doubt anyone has ported that to the SPARC architecture.

Why doing it manually ? The automounter should do it automatically.

sunfreeware.com, opencsw.org or blastwave.org might have them.

yes it is mounting automatically. But there must be some way to detect the usb drive and mount it ? I just want to know that.

To detect the usb drive, then you can use rmformat which will list all the usb sticks connected.
