The following error message occured when I was trying to reboot my SUN machine:
Memory address not aligned
Its a Sun 280 R , Ultra SPARC III
What should I do.

According to this: 1998: SUMMARY: Memory Address not Aligned error
It's either a bad cpu or bad memory module. So try swapping those out.
Thanks. Do I have any trouble shooting steps before doing that.
Did you do a memory upgrade or something recently? Maybe the DIMM modules are not seated correctly or might be in the wrong order. you might check that before replacing that
