Does adding new volumes help in expanding existing mountpoint?

Say we have /u02 (i see it in df command output) and volume1 which has few LUNs Now we add a new volume2 of 4TB with 8 LUNs of 500GB . Can i use it to increase the size of /u02

As we dont know your OS, difficult to answer without assuming which could be wrong, you are using LVM...

Under LVMn not knowing your OS and version/level we cannot status on the limits...
So lets say you are under LVM and far from reaching you OS limits for LVs/FS, the answer is if colume2 is a new VG the answer is NO but nothing is stopping you to create a new filesystem under that mountpoint e.g. /u02/xxx

I dont understant how adding 4TB with 4 Luns of 500GB = 4 TB unless you add them to existing VG, and if it is the case, YES you can extend your LV
