Disk model number

Hi

Please let me know how to check disk model number.

I have already tried prtconf command but there is no such information related to model number.

Not sure what you mean. Try the "lscfg"-command, but only disks known to the respective drivers will be recognised fully. For most non-IBM disks you will get only "Other SCSI disk", regardless of what it is.

Care to explain in more detail what you are after?

Actually I need to do firmware upgrade on IBM h/w
For the same I need to check disk model number.

Please let me know if you need any specific info

Please read what Bakunin wrote - so if this is about internal disks, the command has already been given and the parameters can be easily found reading the man page. Try it and if you get stuck, explain what did not work.
